Mohamed Elmenshawy is the editor in chief of Taqrir Washington.
Before joining Taqrir Washington, Elmenshawy worked as the managing
editor for Global Issues, an Arabic-language bimonthly publication.
He also served as a Washington correspondent for the daily pan-Arab
newspaper Asharq Alawsat where he covered the White House, the State
Department, and Congress. He appears frequently on CNN International,
MSNBC, Aljazeera, Alarabyia, and other pan-Arab TV networks. Elmenshawy
is the author of several articles on Middle Eastern issues in such
publications as International Herald Tribune and Aljazeera.net.
Elmenshawy teaches classes about current issues in the Arab world,
and Arab media at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Elmenshawy holds a MA in International Relations and Middle
Eastern Politics from Ohio’s University of Akron as well as an MBA
in International Strategy from American University in Washington,
DC. In 1992 he earned his BA in Political Science from Egypt’s Cairo
University

Mr. Elkafoury comes to Taqrir Washington from Voice of America
Arabic Division. He moved to the United States from Egypt
in 2001 after completing his BS in Engineering at Cairo’s
Ain Shams University and almost finishing his master in
Information technology. Mr. Elkafoury worked as a telecommunication
engineer and a database developer in manifold international
companies.
